To simplify the cooking process and ensure consistent flavor, I’ve created a convenient spice mix that combines these essentials in the perfect proportions. I call it Rashmi’s Blend.

With this blend, you can easily substitute the combined amount of coriander, cumin, turmeric, and cayenne in any recipe with an equal measure of Rashmi’s Blend. This saves time and guarantees a balanced flavor profile in your dishes. Depending on your heat preference, you might want to add extra cayenne for a spicier dish. Still, this blend is designed to be versatile and adaptable to various curry recipes.

Having Rashmi’s Blend on hand makes it easier to prepare your favorite Indian dishes without measuring each spice individually, ensuring that your curries are consistently delicious every time.

 

ingredients:
3 tbsps. coriander seeds
1 tbsp. cumin seeds
1 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper


preparation:

  • Grind coriander and cumin seeds into a fine powder.
  • Mix in turmeric and cayenne.
  • Store in a jar in a cool, dry place.
